Quote from: Bob;189486He seems a bit too eager to join that I would feel comfortable making an exception to get him quick inside - and also that not-too-humble attitude about the prot/dps warrior thingy makes me hesitate a bit. But I don't really know :g:
True, but then he has been unguilded long enough to want to be back in a guild badly.  As for the DPS side of things, all warriors feel the need to do DPS, very few go down the tanking route, but as long as he understands that currently DPS warriors suck donkey balls then that's fine.  I have had a conversation with him to that effect several times already - I have told him that even well specced dps warriors rarely get into the top 10 of the DPS tables on raids.  Usually the top 10 is full of mages, rogues, enhancement shammies (until the patch) & locks.  So he knows his spec sucks, but liek most warriors he wants his spec to work as he has more fun with it.  All that means is he might not get to raid as often as he wants with a DPSucky spec as my might a Prot spec.

true, but understand that a prot spec warr cant do shite if hese not in a group/raid. solo questing + solo gridning + solo stuff = near impossible + take too much time in prot.

thats one of the reasons real prot is rare these days.

if you think ime joking about this, try to play a prot warrior

re the invitation, since its a 90% positive, why not just give him an invite..?

Aye, I think we were agreeing, but it means that warriors are damn hard to find a place for even in a party if they not prot as so much of the mobs in instances (5 - 25 person) needs the mitigation of a prot spec tank or a feral druid (and even they struggle at times with certain types of mob/boss).

Anyway, invite the guy!

As have been said in numerous posts earlier, when we first have made a system with certain rules, we should stick to it - 100%. And this has also been announced to the rest of the members now, so it will not be an exception we make only within the officer group.

So the first person that feels like it tomorrow should just send him a PM with the application form, doesn't need to take long to sort out.
But if all the rest of you think he can just be invited right away, just do that - whatever...

I think send the form was what we were saying, "just do it".

Has nobody PMed the form to him yet?
I did it now, just in case...

Edit: Oh, and could somebody that sees him online remind him to drop by the forum to check his private messages as well :)
