4th and 5th of August

For those that happen to be close enough, this is well worth it! This is my 3rd year in a row. The track is closed roads inside Copenhagen and it is a blast to see them race around the track. Saturday is qualifying and some races, sunday is race and finals. I still recommend saturday though, since you get more cars on track for the money. It is mostly classic cars, the set list for this year is as follows:

But some details here; race is in the categories

Up to 1947
Such as old Bugattis, Bentleys and Citroens

Standard cars, touring, up to 1965
Such as Coopers, Cortinas, Alfa Guilas, Mustang Shelbys, Falcons

Standard cars, touring, group 2 up to 1971,
Imps, NSUs, 240z, 911s, Shelby Mustangs, BMW 2002s, Alpine 110s, Escort RS

GT, GTS up to 1965
356's, Elans, Corvettes, Cobras

Royal Pro event
With HRH prince Joachim (annual event in his Lotus Cortina) vs. immaculate race cars from the same time lended to current pro and some classic Danish racing names from the owners. Usually a blast with some tight duels.

Other categories are Formula Junior and the recurring Ferrari challenge - and this year also the "best laptime challenge" for super cars, which include TOM CHRISTENSEN in the ASTON MARTIN DBR9 from 2007 (hardly) challenged by cars such as GT40s, Lola CanAm, Porsche 962 and so on.

Let me note, that the more expensive cars drive a *bit* showlike and carefully of course, while the classic pre-71 cars really hit it off. Great fun to see Imps and Mini Coopers really fight it off :woot2:

I will be there with my brother and dad, PM me if you go :)

I hope to get some footage from it this year with a DV camera. Would people care to see it, or...? :g:

I was actually mistaken. Last year HRH drove an Alfa, this one (behind you can see some of the challenging cars):
