Can't say I remember why he left - didn't he just stop playing, and than he got kicked at some point due to too long time off-line?
But anywho, Ekzete was a nice bloke, so I see no problem in inviting him back.

As a side note - I was a bit confused by what you wrote: you said you offered him an invite and he accepted - does that mean you already have invited him back again? If that's the case, you should have waited until after posting here (ref. the [thread=19369]Belzlblub thread[/thread]).
