Was bought this on bluray for my birthday and have just finished watching it.  Apart from the fact the films are quite fantastically absorbing, the transfer to bluray is superb.  Certain parts of the films are designed to have the slighty grainy 'era' look, but never to the extent that you feel picture quality has suffered.  Overall picture quality is stunning for a film of this age and does not feel 'old' unless you compare it to a modern extremely high picture quality transfer to bluray like 'I am legend'.  The remastered TrueHD audio is also superbly done and does not feel out of place with the film at any point.

Arguably the best trilogy of films of its era.  I  highly recommend this transfer to bluray and it is well worth the £35 to add it to your collection.

I will purchase this one, throw away Godfather 3 (Christ I can hardly bear to say it's name) and enjoy the two greatest films ever made in glorious blueness. Cheers for the heads up. I was waiting for a blue ray version of this.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

If you haven't watched the extra material I recommend that you do.. The work they have put into the restoration is very impressive. The "Master" wasn't in that great shape to begin with.
