Googling the name came up with a couple, especially one from Cambridgeshire? Do you locals have a mac-using mate folding for dmw, who has not registered otherwise?

Nef, your probably thinking of menedil, dalto, torir, and vore. But they are from Skeg. Havent heard of a Smeg since they stopped broadcasting Red Dwarf on the TV here
