Just to clarify – team joining

Just a quick question really, when a new map begins do you go from attacking team to defending team, which can result in you being either CT or T for two maps in a row i.e. A de map followed by a cs map, or do you alternate between CT and T :?:  Only reason I ask is that it came up in passing on the server last night and someone said they alternate between CT and T whereas I try to go attacker to defender. Just wanted to check which I should be doing.

btw I’m sure I’ve read something along these lines in either the forums or on the webby but I can’t find it (I know I’m bloody useless :oops: ) so if someone can point me in the right direction that would be great.

Technically you should swap Ct - T - Ct etc but there are times (and as you gain experience at PCS you will know when it is right) that you should maybe swap attack - defend - attack etc.

Example: 7 Ts and 5 CTs, you are T. Map changes and you should be CT next map. However, the new map will be heavily CT biased. Should you really go CT? Well as usual no right answer. You can go CT, see how it plays for a couple of rounds and then swap or you can join T (again) straight away and run the risk of PCS wrath :-)

TBH if you are unsure just chat to all with "have I joined right team?". I still do this as, if nothing else, it lets people know you are at least thinking about it and care enough to ask. If you join wrong team but ask as soon as you join people will never get upset (well the people that matter won't)

:oops: I err...just auto it, unless the teams are unbalanced, in which case I don't.

erm....
Although I just read Chimps reply. I won't do it anymore. In my defence I am normally the first in on a new map....so it makes no odds..

I just don't join Benny's side.. Then I know I'm on the tough challenging side..  :lol:
