Going to the States on 2nd August and wondered if there is a compatability problem with buying stuff out there

I know the obvious with NTSC/PAL for videos/ps2 games and the region 1 and 2 stuff for DVD but ......

can my 9 yr old buy gameboy stuff and can I buy pc games (both which I am presuming will be a hell of a lot cheaper out there) and will they work when ya get 'em home ?

any advice will be appreciated !!
I really was not born to work ALL my life !!!!!

PC games is no problem at all.

GameBoy shouldn't be a problem. Double check it though.

I think games over there are more expensive....especially when you take into account the plethora of erm.....options you have for obtaining them here..
