cod4 ping

Ihave quite a high ping on cod4 server,is there anyway sorting this through rates like in css,rate,cmd_rate etc,my ping on cod4 is abou 90-100 where as in css it is about 20-30

Diff games give diff pings. BF2 used to give me ping of about 85. Cod gives about 60-70 CS about 40. UT gives me pings >100 regularly

If that was the case then all CoD4 servers should have "high" pings, which they don't. I don't think it has too much with the game in itself rather the server setup and the connection from/to the server. I have played on a UK CoD4 server with below 30 ping. However, when I play on our server I regularly have 60-120 in ping. Usually 80-100 on average. Maybe there is some optimization guide out there?

If you google around bout the ping in COD4 then you can see that all peeps that are playing this game got the same probs with it....

There not many options too change it..
Also it depens what connection you have....
