Superb race tonight. I got to be in the company of others for a large part of the race. I wasn't lapped too often and had some good tussles with Slider46. Mind you, I wasn't best pleased when he nicked my last but one place from me on the last bloody corner! Well done mate. :D

It was also good to see Aquilifer finish a race! Makes a change. :norty:

And....It was particularly good to see Venca shown the way home. Well done Troy. :D

I had a good race too. Well sort off... Lately I have had big problems in LFS. I feel completely lost these days.
But qualified in the middle. Running the whole race on my own. Not being able to gain on Ben and Oldbloke. Slowly pulling away from Scratchy. When Ben made a mistake, I made a mistake and the gap remained the same. So when he pitted on 2 laps to go, I understood that there was no hope.
Still, I kept on the track most of the time and sat a new PB.
So yes, a good one.

Aquilifer

Lost a place or two in the start. Managed to get it back bit later when there was some accident ahead.

Settled soon that I was driving behind Kev at 4th. He was faster than me mostly except maybe the curva parabolica and the two slow corners where I felt I catched him back. But out of the last corner he always pulled away from me.

Closer to 20-30min I began to slowly catch him (maybe some technical problems or maybe my car became better, dunno), but so was Deetz behind me! Soon we were 3 cars at each others bumpers. Finally I managed get side and past but so was Deetz. I didn't get any higher from the 4th place because Deetz got past both of us. Slowly he disappeaered into horizon.

Pitted around 42-45 min. Nothing really changed then - soon back at 4th. Didn't change tyres. No need to as they were green the whole race.

Near the end Kev, who had dropped somewhere halfway of the race, started to close me. I had to start pushing the loud pedal again. We must have done very close same kind of lap times. Some laps he seemed to gain me and some the other way. I managed to make a new PB then (first time in 2:07s). Even we were not very close (but I could see him in my rear mirror all the time) I could feel the pressure. On the last lap he got quite close, but I knew that I need to just make sure not to make mistakes.

Great race, even not so many passes. I'm especially happy that the tyres lasted so well in XRT...must be because the track isn't so demanding on them.

Good job everyone finishing.

what an eventful race !!!

started the race 4th behind iron.
managed to get infront of him into t3 when deetz and him had contact.
got the last complex all wrong when ending the first lap and clipped the tyres on the exit,
have looked at the replay and it looks like i was the phantom tyre menace that andy fell fail off:oops: sry bud
managed to hang on the back of troy for a few laps untill he found his rythmn and scuttled off up the road in search of venca.
i settled down into hitting low 109's trying to preserve the tyres for as long as possible but keeping the gap to aquilifer around 2 seconds
but deetz was closing in us both quick and in the space of a lap i had them both breathing  down my neck.
got it all wrong into the last complex( can you see a pattern emerging )
and got me pants pulled down by them both, with deetz jumping 2 places in one nice move
had a great battle with aquilifer for a few laps trying to get a place back but i just couldn't make it stick so i decided to pit
was half expecting the crew to fit me up with some new boots but they decided i was doing a great job on them and set me out with me old set still attached
the next 15 mins was just what i needed, an open track! everytime i got near some one they pitted and i was able to keep pushing and set new race pb's nearly every lap.
this was untill iron left the pits just infront of me and i went left to avoid him just as he went left to give me the line:doh:
got on the green stuff but just about collected it and iron eased of to allow me to keep the place:thumb:
10 mins to go and aquilifer exited the pits just infront of me, game on !
as aquilifer said we were both quicker in different parts of the track so it felt like i was catching  but i couldn't get closer than half a second.
we both set new pb's in the 207's which made for an excellent finish to a great race:D

well done to troy, venca and deetz
and once again sry andy:blush:

Not my best nights work.Quali went ok and i started in 9th.Managed to get up to 5th then exiting the last chicane got hit by some badly behaved bouncing tyres that destroyed the front right of my car:sad:
Got back to the pits and had a 19 sec repair, rejoined the race then got a punture so that was race over:doh:
Managed to finish 12th.Im thinking very thick concrete barriers instead of tyres next time:g:

Maybe you've noticed that I've not been active in the last few months. I hope to give you some insight soon in why that is and what I've been doing instead. But this combo had caught my attention, so I thought I would give it a shot.

I was satisfied with my qualification, so I hoped for a good race. But it all went down the toilet due to an incident which involved a suspicious green car becoming bigger and bigger in my rear view mirror very fast while braking for the first hairpin. :D

I thought, oh well, **** happens. I dropped a good few places back, so the chase began. I gained some places, almost cought Aquilifer towards the end, but then I made a mistake in the last chicane and hit the tyres in such a bad way that they made my car roll, ending my race as it stopped on its roof. That made me disappointed, but oh well, **** can even happen twice during one race.

Edit: oh, I can see you introduced a bad word filter. Oh well, I'll leave it this way now.

Edit2: Oh yeah, Delankster, I was actually fighting for the place, I was moving to the right because I wanted the inner line for the corner, I thought it was a genuine move, but I saw you moved to the grass, so I felt guilty and eased off. :)

Race never really started for me :) . PC through a BSOD fit at 8 o clock, then when I got it fixed several pieces of hardware had uninstalled themselves when I got back to windows, oh man there was some swearing :D.  Finally got on by lap 4. Ahh well It was a fun combo and a good weeks racing. :)

Hope I didnt hold you up too much Iron.  Sorry about that, I thought I had the pace to get away from ya.

Congrats to podium takers and participants :flirty:
