Help with HLSW and Vista

I have a bit of an issue with HLSW.

I'm using Vista 64bit (yes, yes I know). I can see the COD server but the CS ones just timeout.

Update

I got it working when I turned my router firewall off.

I tried to open port7130 but that didn't work.

Is it safe enough to leave the router firewall off and just use the machine's firewall?

I leave myself wide open to be shot down but as I see it. anything that has got as far as Windows firewall is already in your pc. So I'd never turn off the router firewall. Belt 'n' braces.

I agree. Try port forwarding on the router.

Have you turned off UAC? If not try running HLSW using admin credentials.

Yeah Turned off UAC - had to to get my email client working.

ok.... that's scared me enough. I'll find some friendly soul at the LAN to have a look at it for me.
