So, had another good night of zombying and was thinking that with 8 on, it becomes quite hectic over comms if all talk and generally there's no real discussion from some parties. Was wondering if they're shy or intimidated by some.

So what are the thoughts if the server is full to turn off all_talk and see how it  goes?

Yup, all talk off by default would be good

Is there any point in having it off? Ooer :blush2: What I mean is, the tactics are hardly secret when you can see brightly lit up survivors and the zombies fart and snarl and cough their presence. Part of the fun is the chunter.

off in my opinion, i know it prevents me from any tactics such as a simple one of 'come up here', the survivors know that an attack will happen from above, thus the element of surprise has vanished.

Apparently I actually exist! Or maybe it was the drink?

There are enough "Old Timers" now to guide the new guys on their side.

I agree that with 3 or 4 on each side the VC's should be team based, but it gets lonely when there are only two people on each side and all-talk allows for a warmer feel.

Personally, I hate it when there are two on one side and one on the other without all-talk, it just feels empty and cold.

Or maybe that's just me thinking that the other side are calling me names, I know they are, but I like to hear them.

All-talk before the bar on  saferoom door is removed prior to opening and after the saferoom door is closed, or they're all dead, would be nice if we could find some way to script it.

That way we could have a bit of a talk before the game gets going, but allow the survivors and zombies to formulate a plan before the door is fully opened and then laugh at each other for a few seconds before the map changes.

They should be off in my opinion.

Ok, so full server, if there's some experienced players on either side, turn off the all_talk and give it a go.

It should be in everyones radial menus now anyway.

Anything less than 3 on 3 has all_talk on

Sound reasonable?

Yup, I agree. Off for 'serious' games and on for 'fun' games. It is easy enough to change.
We can always ask for a general concensus while the Survivors are in the safe room, and then pretend to turn it off and hear their plans

The voice comms when things get hectic can be too much. You're not sure who said what and if it applies to you. But then there is the gloating! I like a good gloat.
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.
