How can you re-make the Italian Job, but set it in LA and use the new Minis? It's shocking? And the Italian Job without Micheal Cain? What's going on???

I saw it in July in the US, and it's not a "remake".

Indeed, it pays a number of subtle "homages" to the original film.

Neither is it, to my mind, as great as the original film - but it isn't bad at all.

The big mistake they made if you ask me, was to reuse the name. Tsk.
