Ok, so it takes a wise man to admit a mistake......damn this is hard to say....the ladder isn't working. We need to change how it works. We have a community of people who play for fun, some play for more...hmm...serio-fun than others, but fun nonetheless.

I think we need to scrap the ladder.

I don't think we should scratch the match idea, and I still think we should go down the path of 'beat the admins', as shoe on the other foot I'd be up for having a pop at the CS and CoD4 regular admins in a match (I know I'm an admin across all three but you get my drift).

I think we should say that Wednesday is open challenge night. Anyone on can challenge anyone else. We can, in theory make the ladder an individual thing. So, round up a team and jump in.

I'm happy to be available from 8pm on Wednesdays with whoever else fancies it and we'll take on whoever fancies a pop. I can screen grab scores and teams and award like that, using some random formulae I can score based wins/attempts:ladder position.

If anyone agrees and we get some consensus I'll put some more background into it, but let's face the facts, the ladder whilst a good idea, doesn't work with the type of people we have.

Yeah I think you might be right Benny. Although the idea was good and loads of people initially put their hands up they didn't have the commitment to actually do it.

Shame, because it would have been fun. :crying:
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.

Well out of all the matches played there is one clear winning team.
So I think we can award the prize to them.:norty:

What shall we make the prize; a years free subscription or an all expenses paid night at a lap-dancing club? :dribble:

OK, so Sn00ks, can you secure the subscription fee from the communicty accounts.

Pen, can you go ahead and see what deals you can get us?

In the meantime I'll check out the Griffin and see if they'll do any 2 for 1 offers.

(I'll post something up alter tonight about the new format)

Hmm, lap dancing at the Griffin.

We can play a game of "Guess how many...", where you guess how many fingers and toes the next dancer will have, bonus points for webbed.

I've spent many a seedy hour in The Griffin I'll have you know (albeit 15 years ago when I was working in Farringdon).... At that time I have to say that the quality was better than most :flirty:
