The photo changes every day? That really makes it stand out from any other large competitors. Who bets one starts changing the design of their logo regularly for instance to match.
Juggling Hard Disks over concrete floors ends in tears 5% of the time.

It's their original innovation that I admire. They go where no one else has gone before and are truly Internet pioneers. Why didn't someone else think about creating a simple, uncluttered search engine like that before. It's genius.

Sadly though I'm sure some fading behemoth of a corporation that is out of ideas and in serious decline will cynically jump on the band wagon and rip them off. Such is the world we live in.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Yeah, you could even come up with a similar whacky name.  I bet even we could do that!  I mean what about Boogle for instance, or Doogie or Google!? Yeah, that's it! Google! I like it! When do we start?  :norty:

I prefer Doogie.

Welcome to Doogie, the bestest searchy type thingy on the interweb :)

Have a care young sir, one of dMr's regular guests (radicals) from Canada already has that name and might be a tad upset at the association :)

Is this the only real change? A rotating background image?

I'm sure there is more going on in the background, but the fact that 1 of the websites I am optimising for search engins ranks number 1 at Bing but position 6/7 at google for a chosen keyword tells me it isn't half as advanced as Google is at the moment.

I must say I prefer the image search option on Bing over Google's. It's easy to filter on the left side of the screen and it shows a buttload of results.

Bing is officially rubbish. I did an image search for "Great big wobbly jubblers" and got zero results. In Google I got 26,000 hits.

Bing Bong! Search for "deadmen" in Bing, this is what I get: Deadmen

Google Deadmen

That makes it Google for me.

On the other hand, if you search for Dead Men on Bing, it beats Google. (Atleast on the Dutch version of Google that is).

That categorically and technically proves it then!

@ the Google v Bing comments.  Google results will vary from place to place anyway for a number of reasons (geography is one reason).
