SPamming

Can we please review the process for registering on the server? I see there is a bit of an increase in SPAM. I have just tried to report a heap but the forum won't let me report more than 1 per minute and I'm not spending the afternoon waiting to report spam.

The only thing we can do is to have moderated signups.

Everything else is in place to stop auto registrations. Unfortunately a lot of spam now comes from someone manually registering then feeding the login details into a bot that does the spamming :sad:

ok, I've just turned on the akismet anti-spam service. Lets see if that improves things.

However, you will all need to watch what you post now as it 'may' be classified as spam!

Changed signup options to use reCAPTCHA too.
