In short, if you aint sure about your toon if you don't know if you are doing the correct thing / have the correct spec.

I know it can be hard to find something on that site but there is alot of info that is usefull for you.
 
So take a look at that site, and just ask us on the forum or ingame.

I moved one of the multiuple posts here for DMR reference and deleted the others as whilst I know the intention was great, I do not think we need this post duplicated in the individual role topics as it is a generic reference not a specific one.

Also remember that the EJ Theorycrafting Think Tank is sometimes (but not always) a better source of reference than the individual class threads.  The Class topics tend to be more debate based, the TTT is more often the 'reference manual' for the class and where one exists it is often better to start with the TTT than the class topic.

Scroll down to the list of articles and see if one covers your class - then check that it is current for the patch level.  If it is current then read & digest it, if it is clearly out of date (a couple are orphaned) then go to the class topic Ice linked above.
