And they have a nice link to setting things up also for home theatres with Media Player Classic Home Cinema which is what I've used before.

WOW

So what sort of progam will allow output sent from a HDMI output then? :g:

I would of thought it would of been a case of choosing to either clone your outputs if you are outputting to a monitor over DVI and TV over HDMI or choosing to just output to HDMI.

And then in soundcard options choosing to output to HDMI audio.

And damn you for posting that motherboard! Every time I look at it I want one. Looks like you could make one hell of a nice small pc with that! If you don't get it working.... ;)

Its odd in the Nvidia options it doesnt show it up, i am running a 8800GTS though, and the HDMI is on the motherboard graphics card. I may try taking out the graphics card and see if it detects it.

And yeah its a small computer i have the Silverstone Sugo SG05B its awsome :D.

yeah thats the case I looked at also, and the SG06.

You should be able to choose onboard gfx in the bios instead of having to take out your 8800GTS, should be easier if it works!

I already have one of these in the office so I don't think I need another small pc.

In your bios you can choose if it's enabled or disabled. You should be able to use both, but it can cause problems. I've never had to do it personally.

Just received my Western Digital TV HD 1080P Media Player today and im extremely pleased.

But half my films sound doesn't seem to be working, it has already had the latest firmware so im at a lass to why its not working.

Any idea's?
Most of the formats are .mkv files and the sound works on all when played through the pc :(

I'd just go with the assumption that the sound has been encoded using something for which you have drivers on the PC, but which the HD player doesn't support. I've got a ton of DivXes etc that work fine when played via Windows Media Centre on the PC (or any other software tbh) but I either can't play them at all or get picture but no sound when using the 360 as a Media Centre Extender.

Sounds plausible to me, ill try messing around with the files today to try and resolve codec issues. Although it seems the unit has been having some intermittent power issues now, glad i bought it from Amazon so if it continues i should get a replacement :)
