Jim

Right, not gonna hide away my true feelings and gonna let you know what my current situation is:

1) Im unhappy - i've been unhappy with the raid performance for the last month or more, i've been patient and been waiting for some change to happen but the matter of fact is it hasn't come quick enough.... Sure We FINALLY cleared ToC25, but the truth is, people are Pugging it... Yogg should have been down but the matter of fact is

2) People dont put the effort in - We have the 10ish people, typically the ones that put the effort into clear ToC 10 + Ulduar 10 back all those moons ago... that being honest, should have done something before now, than rather sit in the sinking ship that is currently DMR, because the other 15 people dont put the effort in, im not gonna say names because hey, im a kind guy.... but after numerous times of talking to them, spurring them on to do a better job it just doesnt seem to be happening....

3) People's attitudes - Yes ok i'll admit that i'm not the best person to be about when i'm angry and for that i apologise (especially to Mezzanine, i been a numpty to you over the last couple weeks), but the way people are reacting to other people when something goes wrong is atrocious (sp?), i just find that people get OTT about silly things, which slows the raid / progression down because its stopping them from focus (again sorry Mezz)

Just to let you know, Garrit isn't the reason why i'm deciding to quit, this has been my own decision that i've been stuck on, as i said, for the past month...

I love DMR's Social attitude, and thats why (like garrit) i would love to keep an alt(s) in here to talk when im not busy, but its the raid progression that has ticked me off

Now that i've told you this, its up to the officers to decide if you want me to raid or not, because im easy, i'll happily sit there with a smile on my face helping you lot slog away at Ulduar / ToC / Onyxia, but bare in mind i'm looking for a new guild

Peace out, Jim

sheepy

nice.... well you could have posted some sort of info in the CL section before you posted in the members section. (not ment to put down any members but a CL should voice any thing to other CL+ people first)

TBH i think that you are very wrong with progres, yes we are not at the sharp point of raiding acheivements, we are never going to be raiding enough for that, but put it in perspective - we have only 1 boss in the standard game (ie standard game algalon apart) that we have not downed, hence progress is slow.

there have been a lot of changes recently and it does take a little time to get everyone settled in to there roles and get the group rolling like it should, the changes have made a great improvement for the future, it may not make an instant impression.

Sheepy appears and begins to stroke my head. According to his slurred drunken speech I am "lovely and like a fuzzy felt". Thankfully he soon leaves and passes out somewhere. [/quote]

I rarely raise my voice in public unless I feel someone is not being fairly treated. And you have a tendency of running people over like a speeding train, most likely with no conscious intention of hurting anyone. It's just your... personality. But I think that may be the main cause of our collisions. And don't worry, personally I have the comfortable ability to shrug and ignore what I find to be nonsense comments (and I have a feeling that bugs you a little, especially when it's apparent you aim to provoke). Though I have to admit you get more eyerolls from me than the average teenager player. What's strange in this equation is that I kinda like you regardless. It's fun with opinionated players. They offer brain massage.

When you leave, if you leave, I will miss your happy 'hellos' in capital letters, or with added hearts and smileys, to everyone logging on, your verbal avalanches in the guild chat along with your gigantic analyses of nothing and everything, your dedication to complete impossible achievements and your never ending detail knowledge about godknowswhatnot in WoW. It's passion!

Like I said to Garrit, I really hope you find what you are looking for, because this game is astonishingly fun when surrounded with the players you appreciate. It's what we're paying for, isn't it?

Ps. You still owe me 8 Goldclover that you borrowed from me two days after I joined the guild. :flirty: Take care.

Don't you think that is the root of the issue. The people who did these 10 mans moved  ahead with knowledge/tactics and gear.
I wouldn't say that group necessarily put more effort in, but would say they were lucky to be part of that group.

I think the timing is apalling and I agree with Sheepy.

Jim, I very much hope this is not a 'me too' knee-jerk reaction as you have said nothing to that effect in CL channel afaiaa.  Not sure many raid guilds would tolerate a TV-watching discipline priest raiding with them. :P (is that an oxymoron?) GL in finding what you want.

However, I think this is a storm in a tea cup.

The loss of Garrit did not tip DMR over the edge.  Garrit already showed this by not raiding for a fortnight and DMR got Anub down in that period (also with Gandalf for that kill!).  The loss of Jim will not make any difference either.  So DMR have already shown they are bigger than any one person and can still progress.

Progress
DMR have progressed MASSIVELY since WotLK came out and have moved from a social guild that could not raid current content at all to one that is ranked 13th on the Alliance raid progress list.  For the record that's above guilds like Project X, Dominated, Drunken Dragons, Lightning Troopers, Psychosomatic Assassins and many other long-established raiding guilds.

DMR is one boss away from a content clear (Algalon excepted).  Yes there are challenges beyond normal modes, but seeing & deafeating all the content has got to be the primary goal for a guild that is not a 'hard core' raid guild.

My own view is that for the limited raiding time you have put in DMR have progressed incredibly well.

I am being told that a nice side effect of the DKP system being introduced is an improvement in raid attendance and that will have an impact on progress, but at the end of the day it is down to individual effort for the collective success, if people do not buy into the personal effort part then that's where the problems lie and they need to be replaced.  You can take the easy way out if you want, but let's not have talk of despondency and depression when so much has already been accomplished and so little remains to be done.

Yes you can do more, but DMR have enough to raid and enough to progress, if people commit to it and want it.
