Remember when we were all going to die of swine flu?

Made me chuckle. But then I wonder what we would have thought if the UK Gov had not bought any vaccines and we'd had a massive outbreak this winter.

Damned if you do and damned if you don't ?

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

No, all that needs fixing is the chronic knee jerk syndrome. When I first heard of swine flu I immediately thought of bird flu and all the tearing of hair and rending of raiment that caused! Oh and UK Gov? What UK Gov? :sideways:

I think we all did get swine flu. I got a rotten cold and filled in the online form and it said I could get the Tamiflu stuff. Problem is the worst of it was gone in 2 days and just had dregs of it for about a week after so I didn't bother.

I think lots of people got it, I just don't think it was especially dangerous, they were preparing in case it mutated into something more dangerous. Which is something you can predict if/when it will happen accurately.

My whole house got it and most of uni, now imagine if it had even a 1% fatality rate, i'd have wanted a vaccine. I do think they went a bit overboard though considering they didn't really offer it to anyone.

I got a letter about a month back inviting me to go get vacinated, no idea why, didn't bother with it.

I agree with Smilo, it's a no win whichever way.
