For those at the LAN who kept trying to join the same server and then all got kicked I have hopefully found the answer.  I knew I had read it somewhere.  From the official forum.

If you are on the same connection with the same outside ip and try to join the same server, both clients will drop out of the server because both clients are using the same game port of 10000.

With one computer make a shortcut of bfbc2game.exe and add -port 10001 to the end

Quote:
"E:\Battlefield Bad Company 2\BFBC2Game.exe" -port 10001
Make sure each computer is using a different port and it should be fine.

This may make next LAN easier for BC2 players.

I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.

Yes indeed.

I've copied this to the LAN section as a heads-up for the next LAN.

Thanks

Good to hear a work around. I know a decent connection can handle 4 or more players online at once (very much depending on the game), so some testing will be needed, but the concept is fine.
