Hello.
I have a hardwired PC with a Linksys WAG54GS router. (OS Vista)

A week ago my this PC, Laptop (Vista) and my old PC USB Router thingy (XP) all worked fine...

I now have an access problem to the Internet on the old PC... I can still connect to the router but with no internet access.

I have tried loads of things.
I restored profile to last week when everything was ok (before i did do XP updates) and it hid all my files disabled MS office word etc disabled my router, BUT did allow me access to the internet!
Any ideas (sensible ones preferably)

Does DNS work?

Open a command prompt, type ping //www.cisco.com and post the results.

ok, so looks like this is a wireless connection?
If it's not then you have a problem with your wiring, it's saying the cable is disconnected.
If it is wireless it looks like it isn't picking up DHCP, type ipconfig /release.......give it a minute, then ipconfig /renew

wired connection or wireless? Either way you have no connection.

If it's wired you need to plug it in :)

If it's wireless you need to run the wireless diags...I'm a bit crap at that
