I have been demoted thanks to a problem I had from a raid.

I am unhappy because of what happen Sunday the 18/Oct/2010.  
It started when I was put on the bench for an ICC 10 Run, then I saw my replace meant another DK tank blood 5498 gear... Ok then not bad but then I find out it some ones alt witch was not described to me that he has just made it his main. Fine ok so I had a word with Whytee who didnt tell me that it was his new main. I was then told I was been selfish and wanted to LK for the achievement.

One,I have some very nice tanking gear.
Two, I know my way around ICC very well
Three, I was in the 25 man raiding with the guild we got very good progress right thought to Sindragosa we didn't get her down but I was more than happy with the progress I and DMR had made so I decided to go on a long brake while I did my exams. I came back to find I had been kick from the guild...
So I whispered Jaz for an invite back. ok I am back in a good guild an old friend has join the guild while I have been gone then I joined an old guild of mines run and we got LK to 42.3% I think or around there. I join a guild run a good one we did some boss in HC mode and get them down we get to the last wing and disband yer fine but after spending a good night clearing the way to LK then to get put on the bench for and alt (or what i thought it was) and lied to about there changing tanks to try something yer were both blood DKs same speck the only thing different is the gear and player. which I think played well on Thursday and have quite a bit of skill behind tanking... then i log and find i have been put on the bench again ok but my Standby status has been moved to social witch out me knowing and only an email sent to me.

From my point of view, on the raid on thursday, I didn't find your attitude acceptable at all from a raidleader point of view, at least 2 afk's when we were trying to push quickly through content and you were not responsive a few times when asked to do something( probably due to you being afk).

If you had read the forums in the slightest then you would realsise what we are doing in raids at the moment. Constantly wispering people when they are trying to raid and being a distraction is not acceptable.

You were ofcourse not in the LK kill tonight, one big reason is that LK kill is seen by us as a reward for attendance and good attitude, not something that can be constantly moaned about in gchat that its what you want. I want will get you nowhere, asking questions at appropriate times is always welcome but bugging a busy officer is not.

Id have to agree with Sheepy here.
 
The first 'wrong' move was going AFK last thursday just as we arrived at the first ICC10 Boss and having 9 ppl w8ing for your return, thats just an EPIC FAIL in my book. The fact you didnt discuse it with an officer about going afk (for dinner i believe someone said) is the 2e FAIL.
 
The fact i changed my main from mzltof (mage) to Zyrtek (DK) was statet in advance on the forums where whitey made a post about ppl wanting to change mains for Cata and getting some playing time b4 it comes out, so you could have known that had you read the forum a bit more often.
 
The fact you where bugging an officer during Sundays raid put you on Social cos thats just not done!!

Sounds like you need to talk to the officers more to understand the situation better Sunami as it appears you've not realised the things you did to warrant the demotion.

Why not have a TS chat with one of the officers next time to run through the expectations that the guild has for its raiders so that you understand what is expected from you?

I went AFK while you was clearing trash whitch at this level of the exspanshon i exspect a tank of the War's level she would be fine to solo tank whitch she did well. i cant remember the secound AFK but ok, But i will be more than happy to have a chat with an officer on TS tonight or tomorrow night Sorry for my inconviniance.

In general, when you're raiding (with any guild, not just DMR) it's not at all ok to go afk.  You're in the raid and at your keyboard the whole time unless you ask a raid leader (and get their permission) for an afk for whatever the reason.  You can understand why, so it has nothing to do with a tank or anyone else, it's about your commitment to the other raid members and to not waste their time by being afk while they do your work for you.

I was not there so do not know exactly what happened, but I gather from hearsay that you kicked off about it in an inappropriate manner and time.  The rule that applies here is simple, if you have a problem then take it up quietly and calmly with an officer at a time convenient to them, not whilst they are raiding.  Pushing them when they are already busy does nothing but annoy and is counter-productive.

If you keep those things in mind then life is a bunch easier.  Of course all this is a little academic if you're now a Social rank, but it's a lesson for the future perhaps.
