With the new medic update TF2 is now free? Its a huge game to download I already had it do you think it was a good move from valve...probably.

T-Bag

It's a very good move from Valve. The game has been constantly supported by them and they've shown that DLC can be made for years after a game and still be free. Now they're showing that good games can be made free and funded by micro-payments. It's worth playing this certainly. It would be silly to ignore a free game that is still good looking and had a meta-critic score of 92/100

I think they're looking to get more people using steam pending a potential clash with EA. TF2 showcases friends itegration, VAC, Steamworks, achievements etc. It's the perfect game to get people into the platform. Valve don't do things in half measures....except release dates.
Juggling Hard Disks over concrete floors ends in tears 5% of the time.

Tutonic

I guess Valve are assuming that anyone who was going to pay money to buy TF2, has. Making it free isn't going to cost them anything, its a smart move.

Still one of the best multiplayer shooters you can play, now there really are no excuses.

I might have to dust off my trusty old RPG and blast some noobs this weekend...
