Map Rotation

Hey guys

I have an idea for a new map rotation.  Map rotation can become stale very quickly, particularly if you have some larger ticket conquest maps in there.  However, i think we all like them (don't we?) but not necessarily the same ones.

There are maps that work very well on both rush and conquest but having both types in the same rotation is obviously a bad idea, as seen with Harvest Day (which in my view IS a great map) over the last week or two.

So, why not have a dual rotation?  Each rotation would last 1 or 2 weeks, each rotation would have the same great maps but in one rotation we play some maps on rush and the others on conquest, then in the second rotation we swap them round.

We could also vary the ticket count on the conquest maps.  Sometimes having larger numbers as now, promoting racing round recapturing or holding flags etc but then the same map in another rotation with few tickets which would mean different tactics.  Not sure how this would pan out in practice but...

I think there are some good ideas in there and I think I have a way that it could work.
 
If we come up with a second rotation, we can add it to WolfCon as a new profile. Then, all we would need to do is ask Oldie / Whitey to restart WC with the new version.
 
I think it's important that we keep the burden on the server admin team in mind when considering these things.
 
With respect to ticket-count on conquest maps, that is set in ClanForge not in WolfCon. Perhaps we could strike a common ground and agree what the ticket count should be?

What would you guys think of HardCore week?

We could put together a HC rotation of sorts and keep that alongside a new rotation in WC.
