Unable to connect to WoW

Something very odd going on.

Got onto WoW this afternoon and after 10 mins or so i crashed out dc'd. Managed to log back in once more after several tries but again dc'd and now can't get in at all. When i got back in and asked if any others had had the dc i was told it was just me.

If i use the normal laucher i get the error after about 1 minute "Launcher cannot obtain patching information. Please check your internet configuration". If i try to launch by clickingthe wow.exe then it just hangs at "connecting".

So, right now i can't login to WoW nor can i get any of the official servers ....http://www.wow-europe.com/en does not connect and neither does http://eu.blizzard.com/........but everything else i have tried seems to be ok.

Any ideas ? I'm guessing it might well be my internet provider goosing it up but thats about all.

I'm on Pipex still - none of your fancy high speed stuff here ;(

Windows update also being a little buggy - logged onto the pipex site and all is not well there with several things showing as down......including the "contact support".........so i'm assuming its an ISP thing atm and i'll hopefully just have to wait it out.

Same problem here sort of with tiscali can get onto everything but wow

That makes me feel better - i think Tiscali own Pipex now so probably the same servers.

Replying to my own thread i must be bored... well i have rang Talk Talk and spoke to some gent from the Indian sub continent who told me it was a known issue and several people had reported it.... thinking about swapping to Sky broadband as i have the tv.....
