ok the boys are back in town, armed with only your trusty momomonecular edged combat knife and a bolt pistol...vs the greenskins !

yea you get to upgrade weapons to bolter, stalker bolter(aka sniper) and a few other juicy heavy weapons, as well as chain sword (love the noice as it slices them green skins up on a execute move), power axe and Thunder (thunder-thunder!) Hammer for close combat- awsome

the story mode is good, if a bit weird- 3 marines vs a few hundred thousand greenskins.. no contest...there`s other stuff- but i dont want to spoil the story line

the online pvp is insane, as there`s always a bunch of snipers(armed with lascannons),  psycho`s with jump packs ready to rain down death from above( i`m in this camp) as well as the group of tactical players- who stick together and mow anything down that they get their sights upon.
DO NOT GO RAMBO- you will be picked off and left as a stain upon the floor....lesson 1- stay with you team mates

the pvp rounds can be very quick- less than 5 mins if either team secures all the capture points on sieze ground, but i havent tried the other one yet(1st to 41 kills), but given how quick you can die, it looks to be even shorter...

good points about the pvp
gaining levels (to the max of 41) is fairly easy, although the higher levels req more exp- but you do not gain any advantage over a level 1 noob, other than better quipment choice/ multi load out options and abilities- however is does give you a large edge on how/where/ when to kill someone... choices, choices...

if your killed, you can chose "copy load out" and get the same load out as your killer.. a neat option, and this can be used by any player killed
the action can be very fast packed- esp with skilled assault marines, hard to pin down, and kill, while they reap havok (literally) amongst your team- unless you playing a heavy weapons loadout- and the assault marines can be shot from the sky (death from below)
Group comunication with you team about where to hold/ take is important

down sides
not many multi player maps atm
still some bugs with collision into walls/floors etc
some of the servers are dire- soo slow- always waiting for host (aka screen suspended till it catches up)
your team can be pinned into you own starting zone by campers- although hiding behind the force barrier stops them killing you- but enables them to capture points....

the steam voice over in game is on - fixed on- so you`ll hear every foot fall/ gun shot- damn annoying and you`ll end up having to mute 90% of the players- this is steams own fault as its on by default...pain in the ass, not THQ

overall

i`d say a good 85% win
the game play is smooth, very smooth between ranged/ close combat
it looks amazing, as THQ have worked very close with GW and maintained the 40k theme of architecture, brooding, moody and slightly depressing... amazing

that said they could of put more multi player options into the game, but its a good game none the less, as sales have proven- its out of stock in a lot of place- cant be too shabby then

lets hope they roll out more addon packs sooner, rather than later
