You
Can you and will you speak actively with other guild members on Teamspeak and in guild chat?
Yes. I find little point in joining a guild if you have no intention of socialising, also communication really is key to success in any cooperative game.

Who are you? Where are you from? How old are you? What kind of work do you do? Tell us a bit about yourself!
I'm Chris, I'm from the south of England in the middle of nowhere between Portsmouth and Guildford, and I'm 27
What kind of work do I do is a long question, and depending on who you ask I am a university student, unemployed mechanical technician, handyman, self-employed fashion designer, or hair accessory manufacturer, and the list threatens to grow. :)

Do you have a stable internet connection?
Yep, very rarely have any trouble.

How long have you been playing computer games and what kind?
I rarely remember my own age off the top of my head so I couldn't be sure, but I started on the commodore 64 so been gaming for quite a while. I've played a lot of different games over the years and a variety of different styles. I like mmorpgs and have been playing warcraft since beta, although it has been getting very tired as of late. Also tried AoC, WAR, Tabula Rasa, and a few others along the way. Other games I have enjoyed included; Mass effect 2, Alice: Madness returns, from dust, Left 4 Dead, both portals, various Civs, Dawn of War2 (coop story mode), COD4, BF2 Bad company, Deus ex 1 & HR, Dead island, Borderlands, Blood Bowl, Supreme commander, Minecraft. The list goes on, so lots of games and genres.

What kind of raiding experience do you have?
I was a fairly hard-core raider in classic wow (cleared half of naxx and all prior raids including AQ40 before TBC was released). I wasn't that keen on TBC so I dialed back the raiding, and have been in a few social/casual-raiding guilds since then. I played Holy Priest in all the various raids I have done.

What other guilds have you been in and why did you decide or were forced to move on?
No other star wars guilds strangely enough. In wow I left the hard-core guild when my enthusiasm for TBC evaporated. As for the social/casual-raiding guilds I moved on and stayed with my friends when the guilds split or fell apart as many social/casual guilds seem to do.

What are your plans for the game?
Very hard to be specific based on the limited beta testing, but aim to experience as much as possible of the game. Main interest is the PvE side, so the story, the flashpoints, and the raids, though I will certainly give the pvp a go along the way. Whether I stick with the PVP will probably depend on how good it is and who else is interested.

Your character
Almost certainly: Sith Inquisitor - Sorcerer (Healing build)

Possibly or as an alt: Imperial agent (healing build) or Bounty Hunter - Powertech (tank or dps)

Why did you decide to play this class?
I nearly always play the healer / support / engineer / mechanic role in games unless it is too boring, hence the sorcerer or agent. The powertech however just appeals to my love of engineering with all his gadgets and gear.

What do you think your class' role is in raid content?
I'm taking a wild stab in the dark here, but I would guess that as a healing build sorcerer my role might be keeping people alive. :)

Comment on your build. Why did you choose it?
Very early days for this, but preliminary plan would be most of the corruption tree (you can't reach the top of the tree without taking most of the abilities along the way), and a few talents that support healing from the other 2 trees.

This guild
What do you look for in a guild?
Normally look for a bunch of people I can socialise with, who are willing to work together, and share my ambitions for a game.

''Dead Men Walking'' - What comes to mind when you see that guild name?
Bunch of old men wandering round a nursing home with Zimmer frames (overactive imagination I suppose), or the shout when someone is being escorted to be executed in the US.
Ultimately though I’ve seen a lot of guild names in my time, and DMW seems like a pretty neutral/average name. It doesn't conjure up any images without some proper thought, and I have nothing good or bad to say about the name.

There are other guilds on the server, why did you apply to us?
Looking to play SWTOR with friends, and every time I meet up with Brothertobious or Gortex they always seem to mention what a nice bunch you are and that I should introduce myself.

Who do you know in Dead Men Walking? How do you know them?
I know three of your members, all real-life friends:
BrotherTobious - Lived next door for at least 20 years, so long term friend.
Gortex - Met many moons ago at a LAN, known him for years now.
Karrde - Beat me up and stole my lunch money. Actually I met him at the same LAN party as Gortex all those years ago.

Have you read our 'what we look for' and 'philosophy' posts? What do you think of them?
Both sound great, and are something to aspire to. They sound like a nice balance that is not too hard-core or too lax. Starting a little later in an evening also sounds good as I am usually available after 7:30 (UK time).

Just one curiosity though, in the what we look for post you seem to imply that in an ideal world you would spend your time playing duke nukem forever. I'm assuming this was written before you actually had a chance to play duke nukem forever and you're not insane?

Annoying questions
A guildie says something you find offensive, what do you do?
A calm, reasoned, force-choke. On a serious note I would let it go the first/second time as misunderstandings happen, especially in text chat. Quiet word the 2nd/3rd time, word with someone more senior 3rd/4th time.

Cake or Pie?
An impossible choice with far too many variables, I'll get back to you when I finish my testing.

Hello Chris and welcome to the madhouse and nice application. The game leader will give the thumbs up in the next few days.
