Just so that everyone is in the loop from an Admin point of view I'm going to post copies of the PM's sent which include the original PM received and the final PM I received from Kreg which I chose not to respond to.

This began when I received the attached PM from TwoBad. The quote is from Kreg. Subsequently I spoke to TwoBad on the phone and asked him to investigate the situation further with Kreg.

i was aware this was being discussed as i myself have received a ban warning for asking outsiders not to swear while on our servers (tbh a warning i didnt put much thought into, as if thats the way to community is going, then bye)

Tbh its 2+ months ago, and was over TS (and i cant heard who is who on TS). So with any degree of certainty i cant be sure.. But as i previously wrote, you guys shouldnt do much hassle about it... i wont be loosing any sleep over it

I will clarify my post to make it even more obvious. If there are admins in the server, the admins are in charge. If they choose to overlook minor infractions as they do not wish to be "draconion" at that moment in time, that is their decision and you have to live with that. If you don't like it you can escalate the issue to one of the Community Admins. However, you can not, nor will I tollerate you undermining the admins on the server.

Arrogant comments like: "Im sorry, but ill keep doing what ive always been doing, what my punishment will be is up to you. " do you no good whatsoever. As you don't play as much as the admins do, you don't necessarily understand the problem that we're currently having to deal with. Believe it or not, it's not just the dMw regulars that feel free to chime in when there are admins on the server. I see publics doing it for some reason too. That is also one of the reasons behind the thread that I started.

However, if you are asked by one of the admins not to do something I expect you to comply. If you decide to make good on your statement as I've bolded above, and ignore the admin instruction then you will be warned, and then kicked. If you persist, it could and will lead to a temporary ban or further sanctions as required. I strongly urge you to take this seriously and take this as a warning. I have no desire to make an example of you but if pushed, I will not hesitate.

As DickDastardly is an admin, I will be dealing with him in a separate PM. He is also culpable to these events.

Any questions, feel free to ask. I expect you to keep this conversation in PM and not in the public domain.

I still find it wrong that we are to stop being helpful members of this community.

This has never been a issue about undermining the admins, not at all, but to support the admins in keeping the server a civil and mature place to be for our younger members.
Any infraction above swearing is and has always been solely up to the admins to handle, and that i fully support.
But a minor thing as asking another player not to swear is something entirely different.

For the comment about me not beeing there as much as the admins, within the last month ive been on the server as much as any admin. And ive seeing what issues there is.
I agree that any infraction above swearing or similar should solely be up to the admin. And any member or not member should be told to back off.
but when admins does not react after 2-3 swearings from a random player i usually politely ask people not to. NEVER after the first infraction.

As an admin, you are not to engage in flamewars on the public forums. Please take things to the admin channel or take them to PM. While I don't disagree with everything you've posted, I do disagree with some of it.

You are part of a team. What you should have done is to refer to myself, TwoBad and Arithon before taking this public. Acting on your own will only backfire on you.

I can sense your frustration and I do empathise. However, I can not have you acting without refering to the three of us first. Please do not do that again or I will have no choice but to take away your admin badge. I have no desire to do this.

You're one of our most active admins. I appreciate your efforts but I need you to stop and to think before you post something that might "fan the flames". Anything to do with rules / policy must be deferred to TwoBad, Arithon or myself. Please heed this warning.

Also, as an admin, think of yourself as controlling the flow of the game. Too much control and publics will leave as they think we're dicks. Too little and we have the lunatics taking over the asylum. You need to strike a balance between the two.

The message I will be putting across to the dMw regulars, is that they need to defer that responsibility to the admins. We're in control not them.

Believe me the last thing I want to do is to take away you're stripes. However, if I have to spend my personal time dealing with fallout from your indescretion I will have no choice. I trust I make myself clear but if you require any further clarification please let me know.

Yes i'm going to try and kill him when he shoots from the uncap becuase to me he is fair game - why does duvvel get away with things i dont know but it ****es me off he should know better.

I left the server tonight becuase i got ****ed off with him being a dick and not listening to me or twobad and coming up with excuses.

Pete seems to get away with murder on the server and I've found him very hard to deal with and he doesnt listen....

With regards to Zeduckys post I was only trying to help out....I dont know what you mean by Flamewar but i was mearly stating my opinion on the matter
