Well I've surpassed myself this time. Last weekend I was photographing a parsnip processing factory and thought I'd reached the pinnacle of my photographic career. Yes I've photographed public toilets, hospital roofs, loft insulation and colostomy bag factories but I never thought there was more to this wonderful career than that.

But I've just finished a shoot inside a tractor tyre. Nope that's no typo I've been squeezed inside a tractor tyre (and those of you who have met me will know that's no mean feat!) Seems the world of agricultural tyres is a complex one. Ever wondered how huge tractors, harvesters etc can drive about over muddy fields without squashing the earth completely? No neither have I. But it seems the thing that makes ten tonne agricultural vehicles literally glide over the soil is the 'flotation tyre'. It's a special tyre that spreads the weight of the vehicle over a wider area and blah blah blah. And as with all things, if something exists then someone want's a photograph of it. And that's were I seem to come into the equation. So I'm in the rain, in a field, in a tyre!

Sadly all the photographs I've taken are copyright to the client so I cannot share any of them but for those desperate to see one of these magical floatation tyres here you go....

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.
