Is there any interrest around for a RBG team going on?
If so RBG night will be saturday 20:00 realm time.
Please respond if any interrests.

Whilst I am interested in RBGs, I'd like some more info.

What kind of set up are you going to be running? i.e. what composition of classes.  How do you intend to run that set up, tactically, for each BG.

In my personal experience running RBGs they are worse than raids to organise and require a cool head and quick thinking to adapt tactically - what I mean is, sit the mage on the flag spamming RoF and nova ;).. but seriously, I would be interested if you could post a little more info on how you intend to run it.

Please remember that there is a planned social raid for Saturday evenings which should be starting within the next 2-3 weeks and this might knock out a lot of availability for what you plan.

Alright, remeber. This is just an early idea of something that might work, the RBG date was just an idea that can be adjusted.

Switchback

As midd points out, I would like to know how you would put the game plan together.

Rbg's can't just be thrown together, it would be free honour to the opposing team. IMO this is harder than running a raid. It isn't 10 people vs a boss which can be controlled via mechanics. It's 10 players. Also if you have 2/3 players that aren't that great at pvp it will ruin it for the team.

May I ask your pvp exp?....

Is there a minimum res/power etc? 10 or 15 man? As dmr don't really have that many pvp players i think it's going to be quite hard to sort.

Sorry if you find this negative but before I commit myself to it I would like a lot more information. Also as tl says sats are going to be alt/social runs shortly and Fridays possible a run organised by sneaky.

I'm a retired WOW PvP'er although I spent most of my time in three and five man arena's. I have done my fair share of BG's though. First off I'd say go for it. Yes you'll probably be giving out free honour like candy but who cares if you're having fun.

The problem is that there's no real ability to ease into a BG, if you meet pre-made's you'll just turn up and get destroyed over and over again. The hope would be to meet some random groups who are not sharing comms in any meaningful way and aren't playing as a team.  As Switch says to really enjoy PvP you need to relearn your class, re spec your gear with resillience and basically change the damage and healing focus from sustained to burst. It's CS with pixies but I'd still say give it a go anyway.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Yeah. What Switch is trying to say here is... go for mondays or wednesdays!

Anyhow. You wont get enough people to join you for PvP (rbg's) in here, mate. Go elsewhere. Go.. openraid.eu or similar. Take it as a good tip from someone who tried. This is as close to a PvE-only guild as you will ever get. (I still love PvP myself, and would love to do two hours of RBG's after raid on tues/sun/thurs... but there is no interest in this guild). I gained my experience in Cata through openraid.eu.

You can see my thread from Jan 2012 here.

Well from the reply's now its showing some interest .... Yes we are a PVE guild tho we have never done much more than dip our toe into PVP..

With a nice flow of new members it may be worth looking at again.
