2 Tanks

Spirit totems - 3 closest <6yds get pulled into Spirit Realm with 30% HP (send 2 dps + healer - you get out with 100% HP)
Yoiu die after 30 sec if you have not left yet
Kill adds in spirit realm
When healed in Spirit World you get a buff (damage or mana etc, so rotate healers etc for mana regen)

Voodoo Dolls - fixate (MT prob) - MT + 2 get doll debuff dolls, the 2 dolls take 70% damage of MT in addition (MT use CDs over that period to minimise damage)
Voodoo dolls cannot enter spirit realm

Banishment - sends MT into Spirit realm - kill Severor of Souls to exit, has very little health (after 30 sec you die if not)
Meanwhile OT picks up boss

Spirit Totem
Gara'jal the Spiritbinder periodically summons a Spirit Totem at a random location.
Cross Over: Spirit Totems cause the nearest 3 players within 6 yards to cross over to the spirit world when they are destroyed. The process of Crossing Over leaves the victim with 30% of their current health.
Spirit World: Players crossing over to the Spirit World must return to the real world within 30 seconds or die.
Spiritual Innervation: Healing a player within the Spirit World energizes their soul with Spiritual Innervation. The effect of Spiritual Innervation varies depending on the class and the specialization of the healed player, and the effect grows as the player continues to receive heals.
Revitalized Spirit: When a player in the Spirit World is healed to full, their spirit is revitalized. Players with Revitalized Spirit gain the Return Soul ability.
Return Soul: Return Soul causes the player to return their soul to their body in the real world.

Shadowy Minion
Shadowy Minions only exist in the Spirit World but damage players in the real world with Spiritual Grasp.
Spiritual Grasp: A Shadowy Minion reaches into the real world with a Spiritual Grasp, inflicting Shadow damage on a random player in the real world.
Shadow Bolt: A Shadowy Minion fires a bolt at a random player in the Spirit World, inflicting Shadow damage.

Voodoo Dolls
Gara'jal the Spiritbinder fixates on his current target, turning that player and two other players into Voodoo Dolls. A Voodoo Doll copies 70% of their damage received to all other Voodoo Dolls in the raid. The Voodoo Doll effect persists until either the victim perishes or Gara'jal the Spiritbinder banishes his fixated target into the Spirit World. Players turned into Voodoo Dolls cannot enter the Spirit World themselves.

Banishment
Gara'jal the Spiritbinder banishes his current target to the Spirit World. While in the Spirit World, a Severer of Souls assaults the victim.
Severer of Souls: Severers of Souls attempt to tear apart the soul of Banished victims.
Soul Sever: If players do not defeat every Severer of Souls within 30 seconds, the Banished victim dies.

Shadowy Attacks
Gara'jal will periodically use the following attacks instead of his normal melee attacks: Sweeping Kick, Hammer Fist, Right Cross, Left Hook. These attacks inflict Shadow damage to the target and bypass any absorption effects.

Frenzy
Gara'jal the Spiritbinder Frenzies when he reaches 20% remaining health, gaining 50% melee haste and inflicting 25% additional damage. Gara'jal the Spiritbinder also stops summoning Spirit Totems.

View good tips even in Beta like having a mage + H paladin to enter the shadow realm without killing adds, the pala will use LoH on mage to fully heal him and gain the buff > leave the realm and the mage will nuke the boss harder.

Not sure if this is can be executed atm though or even do we have the setup for such a trick.

I think 3 in.....heal up one to get out quickly as possible and dps boss, other dps then healed up to nuke adds and then finally healer heals up and departs back also......the dps left in ports back when they see fit but sooner the better for boss dps. Ideally not melee left inside I guess......ranged dps who can multiple dps adds best suited to stay in.

Looking at the logs, it seems the highest DPS we're getting in the spirit world comes from:

1. Teaell
2. Guru
3. Jesung
4. Jinx/Hubbah

On this basis, we ought to let TL/Guru prioritise themselves for the Spirit Totem duty along with whichever healer comes along.

I think I'll respec Halo for this encounter next time, a big wave of damage to all adds within 25 yds has to be good.

DPS-wise we're looking light at the moment.  Compared to say the Iterum kill (3 healer, 2 tank) we're 100k dps short of their level which is massive.   They had dps showing from all of their healers at some point combining to give 19k dps overall.  This appears to be mostly early in the fight when little is happening, but also when in the Spirit World: the aim being heal all up to 100% early, then add DPS to the adds in your remaining time.

100-19=81k still to find.   We can pull back another bit with Heroism and I'm thinking it would be best to blow heroism immediately on this fight to make sue of the fact that we are all there and nobody has yet had to go into the Spirit World.    We might have to be super careful with early threat, but in extremis we could always put high threat people into the first Totem to get them lower in the threat table.   Heroism I suspect will give us another 20k dps, leaving 61k dps still to find.

Activity levels are a little low on this fight too whilst we 'learn it' and I expect to see another 20k dps or so from a 10% increase in activity to make sure we are all 85+%.  That leaves us perhaps 40k dps short overall, so we're close.   We should see some increase this week from gear, some people hit Revered with GL which leads to more gear opportunities and we'll get Sha & LFR too, so overall I think we might be ok for that last 40k dps.

Alternative:
We drop to 2 healers and then we'll easily meet/exceed the DPS threshold, but it makes life for healers a little more manic, particularly if we get bad voodoo dolls on them.

Let's go hit LFR and Sha again this week and go in with higher ilevels this reset.

I listed it on the basis of the DPS I saw in the logs on that time you had in the spirit world.  We can edit the list to update it as and when we get more data.  In the mean time it's a guide as to what dps we saw in there and who should prioritise themselves to go into the spirit world where possible.

List of buffs available from this fight per class when being healed up in the spirit world:
http://www.wowhead.com/search?q=%09+Spiritual+Innervation

If adds are down then leave and DPS the boss with the remaining 30 seconds of the debuff.
If we ahead on DPS on the adds we can get one dps to leave early and use the full debuff to dps the boss.  It might be worth planning this into one cycle, possibly two depending on how the adds go.

Mana Gone!
If mana is short, healer heal thyself first as you get the regen buff which gives you uber mana back asap to then heal others up.   Use your big expensive heals as it seems the buff gets bigger with cost of the spell - ie flash heal actually gives uber buff amounts, so avoid your normal cheap heals.

Switchback

Worked a lot better going 2 heals. Communication about who was going in improved greatly over the night.

Just lacking a lil dps. Hopefully by weds night a few people will pick up a lil bit of gear which will obviously help. We know the fight now so I can see it going down on weds.
