Update today?

Started the launcher and it updated tools and is currently patching 11,820 files.   Anyone seen any blues for this?

It's an update to the Launcher. There's a new feature that allows the Launcher to just re-download any corrupt files that it finds rather than having to fetch the entire patch or update again. Part of the process is to receheck all the existing files, it's not actually downloading anything unless it finds something that was corrupted. Mine took a bout 5 minutes to check through my install and I was good to go.

Shame no one at Blizzard thought to mention this in advance?

Hmm, agreed, my thoughts too.   It's usually nice to have some notification of what the change is!
