I didn't know most of these. It's good to have reference to point people to if the subject of evolution comes up. This subject is one of my pet peeves. If I hear someone claim that evolution is "just a theory" or human beings were made in gods image I do tend to get a bit annoyed. There's just so much evidence for evolution...and nobody in their right mind would start off with something as mismatched as we are.

Received a copy of the brilliant "The Greatest Show on Earth" by Richard Dawkins as a Xmas gift, in which he pulls together the undeniable evidence for natural selection. It must be really annoying to him or a palaeontologist to hear somebody 'preaching' that the earth is 10,000 years old when he's spent his life studying fossils that are millions of years old.
I hope the 'theory' of evolution is proven by the removal of creationists from our species.

If humans are in "Gods" image, why are we getting taller (just in recorded history)? And if the earth is flat, held up by supports and the sky is a dome which opens to let snow and rain in (as per the bible), just where where the heck is the Curiosity Rover (did the bible mention other planets) and if we find life on other planets, which god were they made in the image of???

Evolution is a scientifically proven and observed event, creationism and "intelligent design" are fairy tales created to plaster over the gaping holes in the bible stories.

A comedian once said "Why is it that if I say a bearded man in white robes is up in the sky controlling everything, they accept that, but if I say the paint is wet they don't!"
