Who are you?
My names jon, from sunny bristol uk, Im 38, and meh, currently unemployed.
Im a slighty sarcastic, mostly good humoured, but very helpfull and humble dude, and enjoy wow for its diverse gameplay, challenges, and social aspects.
Ive been playing computer games since commodore days in the 80s , but ive stuck to pc platform since year 2k.
I started out playing Novalogics Delta Force Black Hawk Down on pc. my toon: https://www.novaworld2.com/statbadge/Wottevva.jpg, but once i discoverd the complexity and diversity of wow, i never went back (well, untill the gap between cata and mop...i bought and still njoy BF2)
 
There are other guilds on the server, why did you apply to us?
Im applying for a few reasons;1) i am hungry for more progress than my current guild can deliver. 2) There are personelle issues in my current guild that i feel im having to get involved in, and i really dont want to be, but to not get involved, wud mean accepting a bad situation, and i feel strongly if u want positive change, it takes hard work. However, this should not come with such an expensive cost, and should be a hardship shared...sadly this is not the case in this situation.
What other guilds have you been in and why did you decide or were forced to move on?
I started out in 'the spartans' some 5 years ago, they dissbanded, and i found a new home at 'equanimity', with a taste now for raiding, this was a fun place to be, untill our gm sadly became ill, and withdrew from guild life. at this point they melted from 25 man to 10man, and were never the same since for me...this lesson tho showed me that relying on one person for too much makes a guild vulnerable (simliar problem in my current guild)
Who do you know in Dead Men Raiding? How do you know them?
actually, i thk i know of, or have been guildies with quite a few dmr members, ammon, guru, and ayla to name but a few.
Have you read our 'what we look for' and 'philosophy' posts? What do you think of them?
yes i have, and found in those statements many truths i am hoping to find again in a guild, and a feeling of organisation and shared responsability.
What do you look for in a guild?
a fun place thats a hub to share wow time with guild mates, and maybe make a few bosses cry.
Do you actively play any alts that we could find you in in case we need to contact you?
if im not on my mage (Errm) im probably logged out hehe as i am finding less and less to do on my ian besides pvp or raid... but i am finding myself levelling alts like my dk (errminator) as there is little activity in my current guild unless i seam to b the one asking or organising sadly.

established old school guild...and humour in the name, then again, as a mage im used to walking in black and white
What are your plans for the game? In what way would you like others to know you?
my plans for the game are simple, i plan to achieve maximum achieve points (or near as damnit) and id like to be known for helping others in a reciprical way.
Name one thing you don't like about WoW in its current state.
i resent the push to do seamlessly endless dailies and rep grinding, though thankfully they have implemented ways to boost rep now. (like account bound items that award rep)
A guildie says something you find offensive, what do you do?
Cake or Pie?

Which evenings of the week are you available to raid?
currently all, but i wudnt expect to be raiding all and i have no preferance to certain days.
Can you and will you speak actively with other guild members on Teamspeak and in guild chat?

Do you have a stable internet connection?
yep, 60mb broadband fibre.
What sort of frame rates do you get when raiding?
if i lower settings for 25m, 20+, and on 10m 30+
What kind of raiding experience do you have?
ive cleared all conent on normal and heroic up untill 5.1 i am currently 13/16 and zero bosses cried yet in ToT. Many of my raiding experince has come from getting pugs together, and id really like to progress as gear lvl with a steady and comitted grp of raiders.
If your armory does not show your intended spec then please make a template of it and link it.
frost is my current main spec as is on armoury.
Why did you decide to play this class?
pure luck tbh as mage was my 1st toon, but i soon found conjuring my own food, having an arcane taxi, and wearing dresses appealed to me 0o lol
What do you think your class' role is in raid content?
Mostly single target, and aoe devastation, but if utilsed elsewhere, awsome cc machine, and if nothing else, vending machine and buffmeister
Comment on your build. Why did you choose it? What do you think of other builds of your class? Why didn't you choose one of those? (important question)
I dont really like the recent changes to mages, arcane got a terrible nerf, as did fire, and most mages probably switched to frost as a top performer for now. I dont mind any of the 3 trees, they are all perfectly viable for raids, but sum are better situationally than others for certain fights. frankly, all can be made to work well most of the time. Im happy using the following build atm:
tier 1: blazing speed to help me gtfo
tier 2: ice barrier to make my spellcasts uninteruptable
tier 3: RoF to help mob control usually for trash
tier 4: cauterize because i didnt gtfo
tier 5: nether tempest for pure dmg
tier 6: invocation due to short cd and overall best situational mana regen imo

Final note: I would like to add that i am trying to help fix a few probs in my current guild, but even though i am doing this, i am definately leaving this guild as a raider sooner or later. its been very hard to find grps for pugs on a quiet realm, and usually a lack of interest in my guild, resulting in way too much down time. I said i would help the guild, and that is wot i am doing; with recruitment, raid leading, and guild bank admin and stocking. its ofc too much for me to do, since i signed up to basically raid hehe. i hope to come to dmr and take up that role, simply a dps.

Hi Errm.   We thought the application was great but it created some problems for us!    RGT has no raid spots open for your class and our second raid group, RGW (raids Wed & Mon) suspended raiding last week due to player shortages but already has 2 mages.     We'd be more than happy to offer you Social membership with the potential to apply for a raid spot from within the guild if one opens up, but we can't deliver a raiding spot for you at the moment.

i understand your predicament in terms of mage overload
sadly it deosnt seam as though my main will be able to raid with ya for now, and thats my goal, but if you develop a 3rd raid grp, or go 25man, maybe i could be viable then.

Im entertaining the notion of server transfer now, but if i stay on aszune, id very much like you to consider me for the future...it would be the main reason to stay on this realm.

one final blurb...if i do leave bridgeburners on my main and stay on this realm, ill post here asking for a social inv, in the hope of a ranged dps raid spot, shud one open.
