I loved Space Hulk the board game. I was never once of those clever war gamer types commanding vast tiny painted armies across elaborately crafted landscapes, that was far too hard for me. But SH was a war gaming lite effort, smaller tile based maps, five man squads and faster more frantic game play. I loved it with a passion.

It seems a fairly straightforward task to bring the game to the pc, while retaining the fun and excitement of the original. Or so you would think. SH sadly misses the mark by a long way. It's slow buggy, has a clunky camera set up that never quite let's you get a proper view of the action, and fails to capture the feel of the original.
Multiplayer is a mess too. The board game was fast and frantic but the PC Multiplayer is more like play by mail. There's no time limit on turns so I could make a move one evening and my opponent might not take their turn till the following morning!

Yes I'll play the campaign to the end, which probably won't take very long as there are only 12 missions. But for £20 this was not one of my better purchases.

Never shop on Steam drunk, it never ends well.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

I have looked at this a few times, but there`s something holding me back from buying it, well a few actually..

It seems a bit pricey for 12 missions(£22) atm, and the multi player aspect is "clunky" having read several reviews of it... other than the steam sponsored ones...

when (if) it comes down in price to about £12-15 i`ll think about it again, unti then, i`ll leave smilo to his drunken antics :P

Wait for a patch, then wait until it's in the Steam sale... win :)
