PAY ATTENTION!!!! - LAN XXIV ATTENDEES ONLY!

There's been some interest in holding some RTS games / matches at the LAN. From the list attached
, please select the games that you actually own or will own before the LAN.

This is geared towards those that are arriving early on Friday or the night before. You're more than welcome to organise something yourself but keep in mind that Saturday is Compettition Day.

Just a note Civ5 is a TBS not an RTS though I have had great fun playing Civ games on LANs before

"Fairy tales do not tell children the dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed." G. K. Chesterton

One game I got that I find funny is LoTR: Battle for midddle earth. the sequal is also alright but I find the first game a bit more fun.
Maybe there\'s something to be said for being different. We are who we are. What more could we ask for?

Liberator

Supreme Commander & Forged Alliance
Supreme Commander 2

RTS Friday for me involves making sure I don't spill drink on my KB/get 'tired & emotional/checking NvG isn't getting too freaked out by the vikings/avoiding minty drinks etc.

It's a fun game.

I would nominate the following:

Wargame: European Escalation
DOTA 2 (does this count as an RTS?)
Frozen Synapse
Dawn of War II
Hero of the Battle Of Chalkeia
"Don\'t worry, none of this blood is mine"

Sneakytiger

starcraft 2
command and conquer red alert 3(if u need a key i have a origin 1)
dota 2 (also have a steam gift of dota 2 available)
company of heroes

steam: -=[dMw]=-Sneakytiger
Epic games:Sneakytiger
Xbox:Sneakytiger

Gortex

Dawn of War II should be on the list in my opinion and COH is a good one. Civ I can see taking more than a few hours to do.
"The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown." "Never explain anything."

any 1 remember alpha centuri?

Red alert 2 is an absolute classic, the same for Tiberium sun which is free.
Red alert 3 is a disappointment IMO

Supreme commander FA is going cheap at the moment and is a great game, supreme commander 2 would also be good.

DOTA 2 is always fun and is free.

OPEN TTD would be a laugh too if we can make an Uber server with all of us playing.

Yeah that would b cool, I have hosted  a server for this and there were 4 of us, it was a good laugh

Tutonic

I've never played Open TTD. It looks hard :(
Hero of the Battle Of Chalkeia

DrunkenZombiee

Its pretty easy mate when you get used to it.

Its a free lightweight game that people can even play on their tablets and phones if they want. You can have as many people as you want to join.

I have had a lot of fun with it over the years as its a casual timesink =).

OpenTTD ftw :D
Especially if you have the old Transport Tychoon Deluxe game files laying about. It works fine with the opensource ones, but it's just not the same nostalgia without the original graphics :D
