Ok, now that we're getting your ilevel at almost 500 here's some stuff that will hopefully help improve things.   I used to raid as a shaman so hopefully some of this stuff will help.

Just so you know, I have done this type of PM for almost every new recruit over the past 3 years, so it's not singling you out or criticising, it's simply to help you focus on the things you need to do to get your performance in a raid to the level we need for you to be effective as fast as possible.   I'll also send more of this type of PM over the coming weeks to help fine tune your performance and get back into the swing of raiding and the new content you are seeing.   Once things settle down the PMs will stop!

If anything doesn't make sense please ask me questions and I'll try to help.  

VP
Don't use VP on upgrading lower level items.  As a general rule only spend VP on upgrading items of ilevel 522 or higher and always upgrade your highest ilevel items first.    You have 2 x i522 items which are 1 of 2 upgrades but you have spent VP on upgrading 2 x i500 items.   The return you get from 500-->504 is way less  than from 522-->526.   And remember you can upgrade the items twice, so your i526  items could be i530 items instead and these are the items you are likely to keep for a longer time than a circa i500 item.

Enchants
It's time to start whacking in some enchants as the total amount of lost dps is huge.   You don't need to blow huge cash on them whilst the gear is to be replaced soon, but there are some almost as good alternatives which do not cost much in most cases.   For better gear look at top level enchants and I would however recommend Jade Spirit for your weapon if you can get it within budget as the next enchant down is a significant dps loss.

Talent Build
Take a look at
Tier 2 - Keep in mind (when we meet a fight that needs it) the utility of the other 2 talents
Tier 3 - Call of the Elements, generally this will be of more use than Totemic Projection
Tier 5 - Ancestral Guidance is generally better than Healing Tide.  Nice AOE situations where the raid takes damage really benefits from its healing and shorter CD.
Tier 6 - Keep in mind the switch to Primal Elementalist for fights with decent amounts of AOE or specific burst damage requirements.

Glyphs
Major
Glyph of Thunder will be of more use to you than Telluric Currents.   As an elemental shaman you will never run out of mana, so you don't need TC whereas you will benefit more from the option for extra AOE damage of a shorter CD on Thunderstorm (and it gives mana back anyway).  

Other Major glyphs for ele shaman are seriously poor and highly situational, so change them when you need them, but nothing is mandatory!

Minor
Keep in mind the need to sometimes use Glyph of Thunderstorm to remove the knockback and to unglyph it when we do need the knockback!

Professions
You need to work on these asap to get raid buffs.   If gold is a problem then pick a preferred primary profession and then back it with a gathering profession to get mats to help craft or to sell to improve your gold stocks.   Otherwise hammer away at them asap to get the raid buffs they can deliver.

Rotation
I uploaded the logs from last night and took a peek this morning.  Without getting into huge detail (it's too early to do that) I think you need to work on Elemental Blast (for single target low movement fights when you have that Tier 6 talent, not on AOE fights where you'd probably have Primal Elementalist instead).

Elemental Blast
This is a critical buff to elemental shaman and it needs to be up as much as possible.   You'll never get it to 100% (maximum will be circa 57% and getting higher as your haste increases), but you need to be aiming to make sure that when you are moving and reacting to a fight that you weave the refresh into your plans as second nature - and that it does not get forgotten too much.    E.g. Garalon last night (which is pretty much a single-target stand-still and nuke fight) you only had a 25% uptime on the buff (and had typically 22% - 36% on most other fights). Perhaps try a macro on your Lightning Bolt filler spell to ensure it goes in as often as possible?

I'm not a great fan of cast sequence macros as they remove some control over the spell you cast (I always seem to end up in a period of movement whilst the cast sequence macro wants me to stand still for 2 seconds to cast EB!), so alternatively use an addon to track the CD on the EB spell to ensure you recast it - perhaps a NeedToKnow timer bar?

DYOR and use what works best for you!

I know that the buff uptime will not have been helped by not having seen most of the fights before (rabbit in headlights), but that's exactly the same as going into a new fight or heroic mode, so the sooner you get the rotation to be second nature the better.

Just had a chat with him on TS ....

Hes having problems making the raids.. I asked him have a think over the next couple of days and feedback if his attendance will improve and can commit to the raid days . Seems hes the family taxi at the moment and keeps getting pulled away. I doubt he can tho

He's a nice enough guy, but if he does not control his own time then he's a liability rather than an asset.   Let's wait and see what he comes back with.
