I thought THIS was interesting, I don't know how accurate it is though.

Any experiences?

It does sound interesting, but I am very rarely capable of planning ahead like that - "gadgets" definitely dip after christmas, but often it's hard to tell if it's a real deal or just coming back to normal. If my planning permissions application makes it through soon then maybe getting the building done over the winter is feasible from a cost pov.

I wouldn't be surprised if car sales increase during summer months and decrease during winter months.

Biggest purchase I ever did it with was buying a car for my father.   Found out when the sales quarters were, went in on last day and got a biscuit shy of 30% off a new Volvo which was about 5-7% more than we would have expected to negotiate at the time.

I've not tried planning a diary out like that though, the problem being is that when I buy something I want it NOW and don;t want to have to wait for the best month!
