The first legitimate place you will be able to see the missed episode will be on Blinkbox. Tesco's write a blank cheque and let Netflix fill in the numbers so as to make sure they are at least a few months ahead of their rivals, and that seems to be the plan for the fourth series as well. If things run like season three then it 'should' become available about ten days after the final episode airs on Sky Atlantic which should be early July.... ish

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Major spoiler if you have not seen this week's episode, but it's a video of an alternate ending to the episode:

Wisdom doesn\'t necessarily come with age. Sometimes age just shows up all by itself.  (Tom Wilson)
Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships. (Michael Jordan)

O yes that would have been a nice surprise indeed.

:roflmao: that would have been brilliant, I'm up to date now and really enjoying it, even the mrs  which was the main reason I had initially put off watching it.  We have managed to watch all 3 and a half ish series in less than 2 and a half weeks. Not going to like having to wait for the next episode each week now...

Sparko

Well.....that was interesting, bit gutted we have to wait 2 weeks to see the next episode though :(

Would love to discuss it more but don't want to spoil it for everyone but it's definitely looking interesting :D

Well that's that then.

Was it just me or was it not so gripping as before?

I did watch the first three series back-to-back so appreciate things moved faster but this one did seem to drag.

There were some awesome bits, some disappointing bits, and some downright pointless bits.

I hadn't read that far in the books but I didn't understand why..... (comments in spoiler tags).
How did Stannis know to go to the wall and how did he arrive so quickly?
When will Jon Snow show anything other than a grimace?
The battle of the wall could have been so much better
I disliked Joejon or whatever his name is but his death was plain verging on the ridiculous. The comic arm stabbing him followed by exploding grenade.... I mean seriously... lol
Still no idea why Brandon and his group are even headed north
Why didn't Ayra go into the Eeyrie at all?
Patently not enough nudity by Emilie Clarke. I know she refused from Series 2 but c'mon.
I thought Manse had 100,000 men. Seems like he had more like 85.
The whole series was P*** poor IMO, and bears no resemblance to the book(s). I shan't be waiting with baited breath for the next series.
The last episode was all over the place, with odds and ends justifying the fact that some of the characters were still alive and reference MUST be made to them.
Especially the HODOR/BRAN scenes,  + DRAGON scenes.
Hope the next book restores my enthusiasm.

I felt this series drifted too.   I think this is down to the fact that they were trying to prepare to navigate through a part of the books that gets 'wierd' in a timeline sense.    In order to do whatever they are going to do to get through the 'twin timeline books' they have had to rape the order in which some things have happened and short-cut some others.   The Daenerys storyline is a good example of the latter.

I get the feeling that the producers did not want to focus down on half the storylines for a whole series, then another half for the next series, so decided to do what they have done.    It's not ideal at all imo and loses a chunk of the depth of the book and heaps of the detail.

The only thing I would recommend is read the books!    The books will help you understand how the TV series producers are treating the story and make sense of some of the nonsensical elements.

It's still great to watch though.

Sneakytiger

when you have long running shows like this you do tend to get some series that are not on a par with the others look back at startrek for instance.

I think the decline in quality is probably due to the fact that the 4th book was a load of rubbish.

It's going to be very difficult for them to make something which makes sense, given how fractured the 4th and 5th books are - Martin's decision to split the plot into two separate timelines didn't really work imo. There's a huge reveal in the 3rd book which hasn't happened this series, so there's still that to look forward to...

That said, it's still one of the best things on TV right now so I'm not upset :)

How did Stannis know to go to the wall and how did he arrive so quickly?
- Melisandre told him about her vision.  Braavos isn't that far away from the wall.http://www.sermountaingoat.co.uk/map/versions/speculative_map.jpg
When will Jon Snow show anything other than a grimace?
- Well, the guy faced some sh*t, would you be smiling?
The battle of the wall could have been so much better.
- True, it seems wars/battles are small skirmishes lately.  Same problem with Vikings.
I disliked Joejon or whatever his name is but his death was plain verging on the ridiculous. The comic arm stabbing him followed by exploding grenade.... I mean seriously... lol.
- Jojen, while true, the guy knew he'd die in a fire.  As for the grenade, that's magic.  Also, as they say, burn all the dead.
Still no idea why Brandon and his group are even headed north
- You mean Bran(Real name Brandon, but his uncle is also Brandon), visions of the 3-eyed raven.  He would also feel compelled to go there to answer the greenseer's call.
Why didn't Ayra go into the Eeyrie at all?
- Clegane couldn't get paid since Lysa was dead, and there's no protection since she's dead.  They aren't aware that Sansa is there.
Patently not enough nudity by Emilie Clarke. I know she refused from Series 2 but c'mon.
- IMO, nothing special to see.  If she was Melinda Clarke, then hell yeah..
I thought Manse had 100,000 men. Seems like he had more like 85.
- Again with the issue of wars/battles turning into skirmishes.
