Sorry to double post but didn't think it was worth starting a new thread.

Eric has posted on the forum regarding track design, odd enough to see Eric actually post but I found this interesting :

I’ve been testing with the new tyre physics for a few years now and I refuse to drive the old one, which has just doesn’t have that visceral tyre feel and response compared to the new tyre physics.

How long do we have to wait?

Good to seem him posting, hopefully the forum trolls can control themselves this time :)

Quote from: EricBefore The release of S2 and GTRs, I was working with S1 tyre physics which had very little grip before Scawen improved on it. The classic case is Westhill which was challenging with the old Pre-S2 tyre code but just became a flat-out drive with the current physics. My fault, partly for not thinking ahead design wise and not having the experience. Anyway, I’ve addressed most of the design issues I’ve had with Westhill, so hopefully no-one will fall asleep at the wheel this time.
Interesting the way he thinks (Scawen too probably) that Westhill is too boring.  I don't think every track has to be twisty and not flat out to be fun.  If that was the case the UF1 @ Westhill should be a snooze fest...but we all know it's far from that. :)

Agree Seany, I quite like the idea someone else posted about keeping "Westhill classic" as a separate track to the new one, as you say with cars like the uf1 it is a great track for close racing.

Either way it's good to see the Devs back active in the forums and what looks like very promising news :)

Hard to say how the new Westhill is compared to the old one if not driven the new one yet. I have to say I have always considered WE1 to be most fun with cars like XFG and XRG. With faster cars the good overtaking places seem to disappear and car tuning seem to be harder than e.g KY or AS tracks.

Nice to hear they have been driving with the new physics for years and wouldn't change back :sideways:
