So from an Aurora you could jump to a 300i and then upgrade that to a 325a for the same price as if you had bought the 325a originally.

But as it's just a ship upgrade you probably wouldn't get the extra bits you would have got with the original 325a ship package (Digital Star-Map/Soundtrack/extra 1,000 credits/additional 1 month insurance)..

You get to keep your 'package', but the ship that was in the package is changed.   So you get to keep your 'bits'.

What I meant is that the original Aurora packages don't have digital star map included and have a shorter insurance term and fewer start credits, so ugrdaging within your package will get you the new chassis, but there would be no upgrade to the package contents that would have been available to you had you purchased the chassis package originally.

I just did a CCU/ Upgrade from an Aurora LX Anniversary Edition with 2 years Insurance to a 315P Explorer. Involved CCUto a 300i then a normal upgrade to a 315p. It cost slightly less than the full price of the 315p package which has only 4 months insurance but 2 additional items, star map and soundtrack, obviously to keep my 2 years insurance was the aim. I think that was worth it, I wanted a small explorer ship and like the 300 series in Arena Commander, I don't really like the Aurora.
Cheers, Bert
