nVidia only did any specific optimisations for Elite a month before release but by then FD had improved my frame rate for 1920x1080 Ultra High to over 60fps from around 30. I'm not sure the gfx OEM tuning of drivers has made any noticeable difference for me personally.

I run an i7 at 3.6Ghz 16 GB of 1600Hz
Ram on a Samsung 860 SSD. Graphics are my weakest point but again I'll say no game run at 1920x1080 on highest quality settings has any issues. I expect to be able to run SC at 1920x1080 Medium or High and play without lag or breakup of the picture. I fully accept that 2560x1440 will be out of reach for me, I get 20fps at that Res with Elite which is actually playable and if I turn AA off which make less difference at higher res I get over 30fps.

I just want to do more testing on the alphas on SC but I fear the fps module will out of reach which will make me very sad
