Cheaters in GTA

Last night was fun. Played some races with people who used a bunch of speed hacks. That was great. Lap times of roughly a minute. Cars stuck to the track at full speed. Amazing how much skill these guys have got.

Anyway Sithafricaan went offline and i decided to so some gang fights. Found one completed it. Yay. Immediately afterwards I was ambushed. Ran one of then over. Twice. He just got up. Even after I unloaded a slip into him. Couldn't believe it. Cheaters are a real concern.

There was hope that the latest patch would've addressed much of this ( http://www.express.co.uk/entertainment/gaming/573754/GTA-5-Rockstar-ban-mods-ban-FOV-mods-GTA-5-cheats-PC-GTA-Online) looked like it didn't work though.

Can you play online with Friends only? I'm sure they will get this sorted eventually, otherwise who's gonna do any in game transactions.

I'm hoping to try out some co-op heist games. Sort of how we play Arma but with fewer attack helecopters.
