PC room rebuild inc standing desk

I started off by building an add-on to my pc desk to see if i liked standing at the pc.. turns out i did, and it has helped my back issues no end.

The only problem was if i had been on my feet all day and then wanted to game in the evening (work days i was sitting all day), so i decided to get myself a sit/stand desk from Conset 501-11, but of course i couldn't just do this on its own i for some reason decided i wanted to shut my pc, networking gear and a server all away in a little cupboard....

still got a little setting up to do and cable tidying but I'm basically there.. and I've just noticed it was pretty much a year ago today that i build the temp standing desk add-on

At work we have desks that have a digital height panel. Some folks stand all day, one guy even has a seat that is also a bike exercise device. I sit on my ar5e.

I tried the standing thing for a while and it sort of lost the interest a bit but certainly for helping with posture and back pain it's a winner. Interested to know the costs of the desk you bought, our work desks are crazy price.

It does indeed, and in fact the other night I had the door shut and got an alarm going off on my server due to getting over 45c in there, but that is only because I've not finished the ducting for the heat extraction yet....

You could set up one of those external water cooling towers outside the cupboard.
