Lo,
    I have been playing with computers for longer than I dare remember,but have never even heard of, let alone seen what one of my customers done to a cpu.Here goes:

        Customer bought 3200 amd cpu(supply only) and took it away to fit it.later that same day,phone call from same customer telling me that the cpu was dead.
No problem,bring it back and I'll exchange it after testing faulty one. His reply:" I will have to bring the base unit to as the cpu wont come out of the board" :blink:

When the board arrived,I looked at cpu,looked ok,tried to remove it,not a chance.
I still cant get it out after 5 days of trying. How has he done this?The sad thing is he has managed to fit the H/S on aswell! I know its not my problem/fault but I would love to find out how he's done it. :lmfao:

Hmm people do amazing stupid things with computers.

Once had a person who mounted a amd, booted up the pc, and fried the cpu because he didnt think it needed that noisy fan .. hehe

I bet he's used some thermal epoxy instead of heatsink compound, and splurged it everywhere.  That'd attach his processor to his ZIF socket just luvverly...

                       Artic silver epoxy,has been used  :blink: Went to clean the thermal paste of cpu,and couldnt.He has used that aswell as the sticky thermal pad that is with H/S.probably why H/S came off atleast. :lmfao: Closer examination shows traces on cpu side and ZIF,only small amount but enough I guess. Now wheres the hammer and chisel..................
