Been playing a lot of this game recently with a few other dMw members and it is a lot of fun. I was wandering who else has this game and maybe we can get two teams of 5 together for a custom game some time or just form a larger group of players who would be interested in playing some games during the week.

Let me know what you peeps think. :D

I know that Tut plays this a lot and seems to enjoy it also it is a reasonable price

I played quite a bit of this game but not for a while

I didn't want to start a new thread, but it'd be awesome if we could support this game under dmw's umbrella of supported games. - we must have played it loads recently seems like it has a great player base.

Even if we can't get it supported, I see no reason why we can't organise some custom team games like we have played before.

Not everything needs to be 'supported', especially as most games don't require our own servers (or indeed support them at all) anymore.

Puff is right, organise some games and see how it goes. You don't need badges and admins to do that, I'm sure you're all sensible enough :D

I would say the main 'issue' with siege is the question of longevity. Most of our supported games have had active player bases for 6+ months. If that doesn't look likely, and there's really no desperate need for servers or fully organised nights, just crack on as and when :)

That all said I'm sure the activity has been noted.. If it carries on and grows there's no reason why it couldn't end up on our 'official' list.

My thoughts on ranked are as follows:
Ranked is good if you don't want to get matched with people who just mess around. Also 9/10 times you will be paired with a good team that communicates and plays as a team. Admittedly, it is harder but it rewards more when you win. When people play ranked, it's generally played a little slower and more tactically which is what I prefer. I understand peoples thoughts on the difficulty but I find it's a lot better and less salty in the ranked environment. Although the ranked MM is that balanced so you can get paired with higher rank players. But I'm hoping that that will be changed in future.

What are peoples thoughts on Ranked?

My two cents: I'm finding it rather difficult to get out of bronze/stay in silver, I've not been gold since I purchased the game (lol).

I've noticed recently that when we've played ranked some have not enjoyed it as much as if they were playing casual.

My opinion of ranked is this: I'm not really that bothered what I play casual or ranked I don't mind. During ranked games it's either people being silly on your team or being silly on the other with team killing and/or toxic behavior.

I also find that your either against a rather easy team to beat or your against an enemy team who are very very good  and it kills the game/motivation because there basically untouchable.

I would much rather play this game with people for the enjoyment and team work rather than the rank which really doesn't mean anything.

I'd quite happily watch 2 hours or more pass by playing casual but with ranked a lot of the time people leave early in frustration.

What do others think of just doing casual? (I quite like that casual games tend to end quicker too).

I generally prefer ranked modes in any game that has a competitive slant to it, and if this 9/10 comment is true then I'd likely only play ranked! Most games the opposite seems to be true and ranked becomes this ugly mess full of trolls and people crying more than focusing on the game... :roflmao:

Going to pick the game up in June so will find out :flirty: An actual focused ranked mode sounds lovely, tbh!

We generally try not to play ranked unless we have at least 3 of our own. That we we have at least 50% communication. That way we know where people are and what they are doing rather than randoms running round like headless chickens not know what they are doing or why and getting themselves killed for no reason.
