Operation IONS

Over the past 48 hours a series of attacks have been carried out by enemy rebel forces.  While most have been repulsed several were successful.

The one of main concern was at our nuclear research facility, the rebels have managed to steal a new but very unstable nuclear device.  It is housed in a containment vehicle but if the truck is damaged it will be leaking radiation.

You will be issued with protective equipment which should provide time for your specialist engineer to repair the truck.

Once you have located the truck you are to bring it intact back to our main airfield.

We have located a rebel camp which we believe the truck has been taken.  You are to be HALO dropped to the east of the camp just before dawn.

Although 500 yards from the airfield, which Cheese Puff at the wheel the truck will hit a small stone, do a 360 air flip and kill you all in a nuclear firestorm from hell.

I wish to apologize for my slight tactical error as squad leader. While it did lead to nuclear armageddon, I do think up to that point it was actually going rather well.
