like, normal XP, but with only 3 concurrent programs, lower res graphics, and limited networking as "some" of the reductions, ...wait for it... to compete with linux. As everyone knows Linux is poor at networking, prone to viruses, has poor graphics and can't run very many programs concurrently? Hahahaha. Shouldn't smoeone tell them?

Nice, I work for a huge multinational market leader too. If we produced a product designed solely to destroy our competition we'd be bang to rights on an Anti Competative Behavoir charge from the off. But then we're not Microsoft, with balls of gold, though.

Thankfully it's a mental idea from a company that is horrified at the prospect of any kind of geniune competition.

'Top quality free OS' v 'Cut down load of rubbish not free OS' = no brainer

Still if you produced Windows ME I guess you'd have little faith in your ability to cut it in a  free marketplace either.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

QuoteIt will also limit users to running three programs concurrently - a far cry from the full version of XP, where the only practical limit comes from the speed of the computer and the size of its memory.
