A F@H n00b

Ok, ive finally decided to give this ago. The name Phog is taken up (who else has a crazy name like that  :bitch: ) So im unsing Phog3h.
Was just wondering, every time they update the client, do i have to aswell or can i keep using this version?

Good question, I'm still using one of the early versions aswell, TL?

You can keep using it, but any future improvements will obviously not be included.

The major changes tend to be to the Tinker or Gromac core engines and importantly these auto-update themselves when a newer version is available.  There are very very few updates to the actual F@H program which just launches the core engine.

Just got about half way through a WU and my PC crashed, now that i restarted the whole WU has changed :S
Is that to be expected or should it have "saved" the work as it goes through?
Now its started a big one i like the little ones even if they do count for less points  :eyebrow:

The points vary - generally the bigger WUs get more points.  Check out the pinned link for WU points.  And yes, if you PC crashes then you may lose your WU and have to start afresh.

There must be something im doing wrong now. Every time i need to restart my pc etc my WU finishes and restarts a new one !!
When i am about to shut down, i Pause Work. Then click Quit then restart.
What else am i meant to be doing? Its happened a few times and so i reinstalled. Keeps happening though  :blink:

Hmmm, not sure.  It should work.  Try posting the question on the F@H forums to see if anyone has come across similar (do a search first).

Ok, it seems to have stopped now and i have a nice little WU to process. Even if it does keep saying "Attempting to get work packet". Its moving so i guess ill leave it
