Connection issues

Oh come on. You can't just say "fixed" after all that :D

What was the cause and how did you fix it?

I've plugged the USB modem direct into one of the PC's USB port rather than my USB hub. The line has been up for two and a half days so far.

So it seems the problem is running the modem through the hub. Although the hub is set not to power down in Windows Device Manager (thanks BB) and the USB mouse works fine.
